2-Day Introduction to Panoramic Photography


Ever wonder how long exposure photos are taken – stretched clouds, silky sky, have people buried in your image, etc.? Here is your opportunity.

Photography is being creative with your photos and having a creative mind. If you think you have all of that, that is great, because I want you in this workshop. If your photography skills are subpar, I highly recommend taking this workshop. You have a strong interest in improving your composition and working in manual mode (M); I welcome you to this workshop.

The workshop will take place at a location, which I will communicate after the registration is paid. I want to keep the location secret. The travel time is about 1.5h.

Departure from Calgary is 7:30 am, and arrival at the destination is 9 am. The workshop will run from 9 am to 2 pm.

The workshop will give you an incredible photography experience, and you can take your learnings from the workshops and add them to your photography arsenal.

The duration of the workshop is 4.5 hours give or take.

I will provide individual water bottles, snacks, and some of my superb baking!
The meeting Location is at Deerfoot Mall – a specific location will be provided in the agenda.

Day 1)

Introduction to Panoramic Photography

You always wanted to take tack-sharp panoramic pictures. Here is your opportunity.

Learning to photograph panoramas should not be complicated but does require a level of technical photography skills. By learning simple technics and understanding how to photograph a series of images, you will be able to create beautiful panoramas and display them on your wall.

Workshop Objective;

  • How to focus and take sharp images
  • How to have consistent exposure throughout the series of images
  • Setting the correct white balance
  • Understanding the aperture
  • Understanding the White Balance
  • Shooting JPEG vs RAW
  • Understanding ISO
  • Brakteking images
  • Shooting vertical or horizontal panoramas
  • And many more techniques


  • Mirrorless Camera or DSLR Camera

Day 2)

Learn how to stitch and edit panoramic photos in Lightroom CC.

9:00am to 12h00.

Now that you are confident taking panoramas, learn to stitch them together, post-process them and turn your image into a professional photo.

Course Objectives:

  • Download your image and rename them
  • Learn how to stack them in groups
  • How to stitch your images into a panorama
  • How to post-process your panorama in the Lightroom development modules
  • Removing unwanted objects in your image
  • Calibration
  • White balance
  • Gradient tool
  • Brushes, etc.
  • Dynamic contrast
  • Turn your panorama image from a blah to a WOW!


  • You will be provided with a printed booklet to keep to furthermore your journey.
  • My goal is to keep photography fun and straightforward.
  • In this small group of photographers, there will be a lot of opportunities for one-on-one instructions.
  • The meeting place is TBA; outside of Calgary; Drumheller or Kananaskis; depending on the weather.

You will receive 10 Lightroom presets – Calgary Sunrise (5) and Canadian Rockies Sunrises (5). Also, receive a small notebook with instructions on the information you learned in class. The workshop is outdoor and hands-on.
