I am an award-winning professional photographer who has been photography since 2019, and it is one of my favorite passion. I love sharing my knowledge with people who want to learn more about it.
You bought a new camera or have an existing camera and don't know how to use it.
Photography is not just a hobby, it’s an art form. And with this class you will learn the fundamentals of photography to push you toward being the photographer you always dreamed of becoming; one small step at a- time.
In this small group workshop, “introduction to photography/camera,” I will show you what you need to know about using your digital camera from “Auto Mode to Manual Mode.” My students learn to capture spectacular images. This workshop aims to give the student the foundation to take breathtaking pictures using a few steps.
In this small group workshop, you will learn to understand the shutter speed, aperture and ISO to move you from “Auto Mode.”
Learning to use your camera from a manual is very complicated, and your anxiety level goes through the roof. But when you know a few camera settings, you will quickly learn that it’s not that complicated.
In the first part of the workshop, we focus on the basics and review your camera and its functions. You will practice and practice the setting and various scenarios. I also provide handouts to ensure that when you are done the workshop, you can review what was taught during the workshop to allow you to continue to learn.
Here is what you will learn:
- How your camera works
- Shutter Priority Mode
- Aperture Priority Mode
- Program Priority Mode
- Setting the appropriate white balance and how to have the perfect colors
- Sensor sensitivity or “ISO.”
- RAW format VS JPEG or have both,
- Exposure compensation
- Types of lenses
- Composition rules
- Make new photographer friends
What to bring:
- FRESH batteries;
- Memory cards
- Lenses (1 or 2) don’t bring too much
The workshop is offered outdoor vs a classroom setting. You will remember much more than sitting in a classroom or learning online when you learn in the field.
If you are not comfortable in a small group setting (max 4 students), you can book a private 3hr workshop at your convenience. The private workshop is available year-round.
The workshops is offered at various locations in Calgary; Prince's Island Park or Fish Creek and other locations.
Photography Courses Calgary offers a variety of unique workshops to allow photographers to expand their photography knowledge.
In this small group of photographers, there will be a lot of opportunities for one-on-one instructions.
My goal is to keep photography fun and straightforward. In this small group of photographers, there will be a lot of opportunities for one-on-one instruction. I am excited to work with you!
